About Me

My journey with photography started back in high school in Canada. I took a photography course as an elective and very quickly fell in love. As a result of my clear passion for the art, my parents bought me my first DSLR camera in 2010 to take with me on a trip to South Africa, and my love for photography grew even more.

In 2012 I moved to the UK to pursue a degree in history (another passion of mine) at the University of Edinburgh, and in 2017 I moved to London where I began working as an events manager. I loved working in events but I found myself feeling stuck and unfulfilled. Whenever I was feeling stagnant or at a loss with my life I found myself turning to my camera and photographing the world around me. It was a practice that brought me inner peace and helped me re-ground myself.

It was a few years ago when the seed of a career in photography got planted in my brain. A friend of mine asked if I could photograph their artist's showcase and I agreed. While shooting the event, everything became clear. Never had I loved the idea of "work" like I did that evening. I knew that this was what my soul had been searching for. Since then I've been working towards a qualification and can regularly be found with my camera capturing the world around me. Whether I'm photographing people, the natural world, beautiful places, or exciting events I find I am enjoying every minute. Photography is a brilliant way to not only see the world around us, but to truly see the beauty of every moment.

Outside of photography, I love to spend my time outdoors exploring the UK and the world. I'm also an avid football player and having been recently testing my endurance by training for and competing in triathlons.
